macOS Monterey
Apple's new operating system, macOS Monterey (12.0), was released on October 25th, 2021.
ITS has tested and is now supporting macOS Monterey.
After testing with the campus systems and standard supported software list, ITS is now supporting it. If you have questions about upgrading, please put in a ticket at SlugHub https://slughub.ucsc.edu/its
Jamf Self Service is available for managed campus computers and can be used to install Monterey yourself. Please see the details here: https://its.ucsc.edu/managed-computers/jamf.html
Monterey (just like Big Sur) does not support 32-bit applications. Please be aware of what 32-bit applications you may use before updating to Monterey. If you are unsure about how Monterey would affect your Mac, please contact your local ITS technician or the Help Desk (459-HELP).

iMac Pro 2017 and later
MacBook Air & Pro early 2015 and later
